On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Buffalo Sabres and NHL writer Joe Yerdon to discuss the absolutely scorching hot Buffalo Sabres in addition to a little Buffalo Bills talk as well, recorded live from Sonny Red’s in Lackawanna.
The Sabres went on the road in Toronto on Tuesday night and smacked the Maple Leafs, 7-4 to win for the 19th time in their last 22 games. If Buffalo hasn’t been playing well enough up front, defensemen Rasmus Dahlin netted a hat trick while the incredible transformation of Mattias Samuelsson continued with his racking up three assists. Joe was in Toronto with the team for the game and discusses what the vibe was like the in the arena and in the Buffalo locker room after that.
A team that looked absolutely locked into a 15th straight year of the postseason drought finds themselves with an incredible opportunity to finally end it. Joe gets into several of the things he’s seen and we’ve all seen that have made this possible—including a night and day transformation since Keyvn Adams got fired.
They also spend some time talking Bills and Joe, a noted “Bills watcher” and not fan has some observations on the Bills decision to fire Sean McDermott and ultimately promote Joe Brady to head coach. That and a whole lot more!
