On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren from SB Nation to go over the Buffalo Bills positionally and assign grades following their second consecutive prime time loss where it feels like the wheels may be coming off, this time falling in Atlanta to the Falcons, 24-14.

It was a tale of two halves between the defense stinking up the stadium in the first half and the offense following suit in the second half that almost made this feel like two Buffalo losses within the same game. Like they’ve done all season, Patrick and Matt go through the roster and discuss what’s going on and how they looked position by position and to be honest—it’s very hard to find silver linings in a truly ugly loss other than the play of fourth-round rookie Deone Walker.

And unlike a lot of other Buffalo losses and team shortcomings, this time Josh Allen deserves plenty of criticism for his play as well. Clearly the past few weeks have shown that there’s something off with Allen’s game right now and the guys do their best to try and figure out exactly what that is.

Also, instead of this game being an indictment on just the players (which it also certainly was), the guys have a discussion about the coaching situation that is getting bad enough that it’s fair to wonder if Sean McDermott does something about it as the Bills get started with their much needed bye week. Lastly, does Brandon Beane have the motivation to make a trade or two to try and fortify this roster for a stretch run, or is he going to bank on them simply playing better—a decision the guys and probably most of you would consider a big mistake.
