On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran previews the Bills’ road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, breaking down three keys to victory, five bold predictions, and his final score prediction.

Patrick also has plenty to say about rookie head coach Joe Brady, questioning his public criticism of James Cook’s fumbling issues while defending a struggling linebacker group. He also takes Brady to task for questionable clock management and situational decisions against the Rams.

Despite Buffalo’s impressive offensive statistics, there are legitimate concerns about turnovers, injuries, and a defense that’s been among the NFL’s worst through five games.

Topics discussed include:

  • Why the Bills’ 4-1 record doesn’t tell the entire story.
  • Joe Brady’s handling of James Cook and his recent coaching decisions.
  • Josh Allen’s MVP-caliber production and Buffalo’s explosive offense.
  • Why Dalton Kincaid needs to become a bigger part of the passing attack.
  • Buffalo’s struggling linebackers and potential defensive lineup changes.
  • Injury concerns surrounding Spencer Brown, Ed Oliver, DJ Moore, Dee Alford, and Ty Johnson.
  • The challenges presented by Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, Kirk Cousins, and Maxx Crosby.
  • Three keys to beating the Raiders: containing Bowers, scoring touchdowns in the red zone, and protecting the football.
  • Five bold Bills predictions, including potential breakout performances from Skyler Bell, Deone Walker, and Keon Coleman.

Patrick also explains why he’s experiencing some serious Las Vegas FOMO after canceling his trip to the game.

Final Score Prediction: Buffalo Bills 36, Las Vegas Raiders 17.

Can Buffalo clean up its mistakes, improve defensively, and head into the bye week at 5-1?
