On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss the Buffalo Bills toying with the New York Jets in the regular season finale, 35-8 before quickly turning their attention towards next week’s wild card round showdown with the hottest team in the NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Bills absolutely dominated the Jets from the start of what’s likely the last ever game at Highmark Stadium. While the Bills deserve plenty of credit for the effort it was also obvious the Jets looked like a team running for the bus. The guys talk about some of the takeaways from the game, including Dalton Kincaid looking impressive in his brief return to action, a nice afternoon for Mitch Trubisky in the passing game and a complete defensive shutdown of the hapless Jets.
It wasn’t all roses for the Bills on Sunday though—kicker Matt Prater reaggravated a quad injury and Bills general manager Brandon Beane will be scrambling for a kicker this week before the playoffs.
Speaking of, the attention shifts to Jacksonville, who is steamrolling into the playoffs on the strength of an eight-game winning streak and nine of their last 10.
The guys also react to a lot of what they say today from both fans and the media with the Highmark Stadium finale. Was the emotion completely justified or perhaps a bit over the top? Can it difficult to balance incredible memories inside the stadium and only having to move across the street as opposed to if the team was relocating to another city or even different part of town? The guys give plenty of honest thoughts on it.
