On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Buffalo blogger and podcaster Chris Ostrander to discuss both the Buffalo Sabres and Bills, including trying to figure out what version of the Sabres are right now and if the Bills have officially become a bad road team.
The Sabres have become an incredibly streaky team and they’ve been riding a hot wave recently, winning four of their past five. They’re just three points out of a wildcard as a result but also merely two points from being alone in the entire conference by themselves. Chris has plenty of thoughts on the good, bad and ugly of the team as it’s now just past a quarter of the regular season gone. There’s every bit of reason to have hope they can be a playoff team as a top five lottery team.
Meanwhile the Bills have lost three road games this season to three pretty average-to-bad quarterbacks. Buffalo faces what’s suddenly become a borderline critical game on Sunday at Pittsburgh. The Bills are favored by Vegas in this game, but Patrick explains why he doesn’t think they deserve to be. What does Chris think about what’s going on with Buffalo and what realistically can change to send them on a path of having a realistic chance to come out of the AFC in January?
