On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran offers his biggest takeaways from the Buffalo Bills colossal disaster loss in Miami on Sunday after spending time going over all of the statistics as well as watching back the game take, including a plea for the reigning MVP quarterback to stop taking all the bullets at the podium after these type of losses.

Josh Allen did not play well enough to give Buffalo their best chance to win on Sunday, let’s be very clear about that. He had two turnovers in this game in the second half, both in Miami territory that were on no one but himself. Essentially that took Buffalo out of the running to come back late. That said, Allen stood at the podium yet again and burdened all the accountability to what was an ugly loss to a team that’s been very bad all season. While it’s been admirable and unselfish for the Bills leader to be the most accountable player on the team, Patrick would like to see, to use a wrestling term, a bit of a “heel turn” from Allen and start calling out some of his teammates, his coaching, the game plan and specific play calls. Guys like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers may be considered jerks in a lot of ways but they were never afraid to point the fingers at others and it often helped spark their team.

Of course, the passing game often looked in shambles despite Allen going over 100 yards and at the root of it is once again Keon Coleman. He had a 35 yard touchdown against a third string cornerback but some of the routes he ran on film look less than 100%. Is there true discourse between quarterback and receiver? Sure seems like it at this point, how long does Buffalo continue to try and force Keon to be a big part of the offense because where he was drafted?

The defense had its struggles too and the linebackers were often a big part of it. What in the world has happened to Terrel Bernard and Matt Milano? It’s ugly out there for them.  That plus why ego could be keeping the Bills back from unlocking their best potential and much more.
